Six months ago, I launched this newsletter with a name that felt cheeky, defiant, and full of energy: The After Party.
It was my way of throwing a middle finger at the idea that women in midlife were supposed to disappear. We weren’t at the main event anymore? Fine. We’ll host our own damn after party.
Every week, I wrote from a place of curiosity, rebellion, and honesty.
About hormones and leadership. Relationships and money. Visibility and ambition.
I didn’t want to give polished advice. I wanted to tell the truth, the kind we whisper to our closest friends over coffee or wine or DMs late at night.
And the truth is:
We are not done.
We’re just getting started.
But something unexpected happened over time.
What started as a “newsletter for midlife women” began to feel like something more profound.
This wasn’t just a conversation anymore. It was a collective rising.
The inbox replies started sounding like manifestos. The women I was talking to weren’t just surviving, they were plotting comebacks, launching businesses, divorcing with clarity, moving across the world, asking better questions, claiming bigger lives.
And quietly, I felt myself changing too.
The words I wanted to write felt sharper. The vision felt bigger.
And the name — the fun, punchy, rebellious name — started to feel too small.
The After Party did its job.
It cracked open a conversation.
It created a room.
It let us breathe and laugh and say the things no one else was saying.
But now it’s time to build something bigger than a room.
So, next week, this space will evolve.
You’ll still hear from me, same voice, same soul, same refusal to water things down.
But it will sound, look, and feel different.
More refined. More intentional. More like where you, and I, are heading.
You’ll see a new name in your inbox. A new format. A new vision.
We’re stepping into a new era, together.
I’m not going to tell you what it’s called just yet.
You’ll see.
You’ll feel it.
Just know this:
This shift isn’t just cosmetic. It’s strategic. It’s intentional. It’s necessary.
Because I refuse to create a space that doesn’t reflect where I am now, and I know you feel the same.
🔥 What to Expect (Logistics, not Vibes):
Your weekly newsletter is not going anywhere, but it will arrive with a fresh name and voice
The brand is evolving: new site, updated Instagram, new community direction
A podcast? We’re considering it!
And yes… there may be merch, events, and something you can wear, hold, or stand in that says, “I’m not done yet.”
💬 In the Meantime, I’d Love to Know:
What does reinvention mean to you right now?
What’s one thing you’re reclaiming, or ready to leave behind?
Hit reply. I read every single one.
🖤 Note to Self:
You don’t owe the world your silence just because you’ve aged out of its comfort zone.
Make noise. Take up space. Change it all.
🙏 Closing:
Thank you for showing up, every week, every reply, every time you said “omg SAME.”
This space has grown because you let me grow inside it.
And now I’m building what comes next, for both of us.
More soon.
More always.
xx
